Never make the mistake of taking your organization into the future without first creating that desired future.
Every successful people and organization first design the future, forecast the future before ultimately moving into it.
The magic of fashioning the future makes every successful leader lives in the reality of their dreams, even before the goals are accomplished.
Excellent leaders are long-term, teleological and extrapolatory thinkers. So, they can accurately predict what is going to happen in the future based on what they are doing today.
Every successful organization has a leader who by the dint of creating the future understands that the unintended consequences of an action can be far worse than the intended consequences of that behaviour because of long term thinking.
A short term gain can cause a long time pain if a leader has ab initio failed to envision the future before it comes into reality.
TIPS ON HOW A LEADER CAN CREATE THE FUTURE.
A. SET OUT YOUR MAJOR GOALS.
It is of utmost necessity to identify and decide exactly what you want to achieve for the organisation or personal life. *SIMPLICITY AND CLARITY IS KEY.
B. WRITE IT DOWN
It becomes very clumsy and vague when the goals are not in writing.
It is more inspiring to migrate the plans from your head to your Diary where you can always review and amend them
C. SET A DEADLINE
It’s fantastic for organizations to have timelines towards the achievement of their goals. Adjust deadlines where possible.
It creates incredible energy and enthusiasm
D. CREATE AN ACTION PLAN
The list of goals are turned into specific steps.
Priority and sequence of actions towards goals accomplishments are key.
E. TAKE ACTION
Now that you have plans, there should be no more delays. Actions translate potentials into performance.
THOSE WHO DO NOT THINK ABOUT THE FUTURE CANNOT HAVE ONE!
