Why we are still holding Naira Marley – EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has said that Singer, Naira Marley, has a case to answer.

The Anti graft agency had arrested Naira Marley,  whose real name is Afeez Fashola, on the 10th of May for alleged involvement in internet fraud popularly known as Yahoo Yahoo. Few days later, another musician known as Zlatan Ibile and three others, whose names were given as, Tiamiyu Abdurahman Kayode, Adewunmi Adeyanju Moses and Abubakar Musa, were also arrested and paraded before journalists.

While Zlatan and the three others were released on bail, the Agency held back Naira Marley for further investigation into the matter. According to a source in the Agency who does not want his name in print, the Issagoal crooner is still undergoing some questioning to confirm his involvement in the fraud.

Naira Marley had in a video released on his Instagram handle praised Yahoo boys and urged people to pray for them. According to him, it is the Yahoo boys that keep money are circulating in the public.
