They are embedded in the pavement and bear the names of Hollywood’s greatest celebrities past and present.

The Walk of Fame honours prolific and influential luminaries in five categories:  motion pictures, television, radio, live theatre, and recording –  since 1960. The famous sidewalk includes both sides of Hollywood Boulevard from Gower to La Brea, plus both sides of Vine Street from Yucca to Sunset.

The funds are used to pay for the creation/installation of the star and ceremony, as well as maintenance of the Walk of Fame. The Walk of Fame is open to the public.
