The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwumi Ambode, has urged the electorates in Osun State, South-West Nigeria, to vote for continuity and experience as they elect their new governor on Saturday, 22nd September 2018.
Mr. Ambode gave the charge yesterday at the mega rally of the All Progressive Congress (APC), in support of the governorship candidate of APC – Mr. Gboyega Oyetola.
Mr. Oyetola was the Chief-of-Staff to the outgoing governor of the State, Rauf Aregbesola. Mr. Ambode said that with the progress of work done so far, “the people of Osun should vote for Continuity and Experience by voting Gboyega Oyetola on Saturday.”
Mr. Ambode was apparently referring to the fact that Mr. Oyetola, having served with the outgoing governor must have understood the inner workings of the government and would want to continue with the “progress of work” to which the government has been committed.
The people of Osun will be choosing their next governor on Saturday. The battle is between the two major parties in Nigeria – APC and PDP. The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party is Senator Ademola Adeleke.
