PDP potesters violent and unruly – Police

Police in Nigeria have described the PDP members who protested yesterday as “violent and unruly”.

The Police said they caused disturbance to public peace and safety by blocking Shehu Shagari way in Abuja.

Furthermore, they were accused of attempting to gain entrance by force into the Force headquarters in Abuja with the intent of destroying police and government property.

The Police also specifically accused Senators Ben Murray-Bruce, Dino Melaye of being caught on camera of assaulting police officers on lawful duty, whike Senator Saraki was at the scene watching from his car.

Consequently, the Police have invited Senators Saraki, Ben Murray-Bruce and Dino Melaye to report at the Force Headquarters in Abuja on Monday 8th October 2018 for questioning on the incident.
