No need to go to CBT Centre or Cyber Cafe to Check UTME Results -JAMB

Kindly share this:

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has told candidates who sat for the 2019 UTME not to visit any CBT centre or Cyber Cafe to check their UTME results.

This was contained in a statement on the official Twitter handle of JAMB, while announcing the release of the 2019 UTME results.

According to JAMB, to check his or her result, a candidate simply needs to send RESULT to the shortcode 55019. The should be done from the phone number the candidate used while creating the UTME profile and the result of such a candidate will be sent as a short message to the candidate’s phone.

Reactions to the announcement on Twitter have been mixed. Some candidates complained that they did not get their results on their phones after following the instructions on how to check UTME results above.

Contrariwise, many others said that the system was quite fast and they got their results on their phones in good time.

Yet, some others lamented that they had lost the sim cards with which they created their profiles, suggesting they no longer have access to the phone numbers attached to their profiles, and wondered how they would be able to check their results.

It will be recalled that the 2019 UTME was held between April 11 and 17, 2019 with over 1.8 million registered candidates.
