I did not sue FG -Rebecca, Leah Sharibu’s Mum

Kindly share this:

Mrs. Rebecca Sharibu, the mother of Leah Sharibu, had reportedly denied the reports circulating in the news today that she was part of the group that sued the Federal Government of Nigeria, demanding NGN500 million in damages.

Many publications across the country had reported that Mrs. Rebecca joined with others to file a suit at the Federal High Court in Lagos, South-West Nigeria, demanding NGN500 million in damages.

However, according to CNN, an International Cable Television, Leah’s mum “strenuously denied reports that she had filed the lawsuit”.

This was according to the Tweets on the issue posted on the verified Twitter handle of CNNAfrica, @CNNAfrica. See the Tweets below:

It will be recalled that Leah Sharibu is the lone school girl left in Boko Haram custody among the 110 school  girls that were kidnapped seven months ago by Boko Haram at Dapchi, Yobe State.

Leah reportedly refused to renounce her Christian fate in exchange for her freedom. Leah had been in Boko Haram captivity since February 19, 2018.
