Huawei Technologies, a major contender with Apple for the number 2 position in global smartphone sales, has demoted and reduced the salaries of two of her employees for sending out a new year tweet with Apple iPhone, the South China Morning Post has reported.
The Chinese Company greeted its followers on Twitter on December 31 with the Tweet having a “Twitter for iPhone” stamp on it. Although the company immediately deleted the Tweet and replaced with a new one, the screenshot of the message had gone viral on the social media.
This development was remarkable coming just days after the Chinese company announced it has shipped record 200 million units of smartphones in 2018, leaping to the number two spot just behind Samsung.
