Nigeria Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo (SAN) has said that ‘jagajaga’ crooner, Eedris Abdulkareem, once begged to be introduced to the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, by him.
According to Keyamo, the musician needed money desperately and wanted him to shore up his PR before Malami, Amaechi and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
In a series of tweets on his verified Twitter handle, the minister accused Eedris of calling him out in his new song, ‘jagajaga reloaded’ just because he failed in his attempt to use him to penetrate the government of PMB for financial patronage.
1.) Eedris Abdulkareem just released a song, ‘jagajaga reloaded’, where he waxed the following lyrics, “where Festus Keyamo sef? He don dey chop with cabal o”. I laughed out so loud and even danced to the rhythm too. But there’s a small story behind this poor attempt at blackmail— Festus Keyamo, SAN (@fkeyamo) April 24, 2021
Keyamo further alleged that Eedris belonged to the group of ‘activists-by-day-hustlers-at-night’ that secretly approached him.
He also said that he had to abandon Eedris because he knew he was a desperate hustler who could embarrass him.
5.) He begged me to introduce him to Malami (AGF), Amaechi & the SGF and to paint a good ‘PR’ for him. He pledged that he was with us in the campaign with his whole ‘body and soul’. But at this point, I knew he was a desperate hustler who could embarrass me, so I ghosted him 👇👇 pic.twitter.com/3yHzMJq3ZN— Festus Keyamo, SAN (@fkeyamo) April 24, 2021
