The death of the mother of Sen. Dino Melaye may have ended a decade-old rift between the senator and former speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dimeji Bankole.
It will be recalled that on June 22, 2010 Dino and 10 others were forcefully bundled out of the green chamber for resisting suspension by the House of Representatives.
The event happened under the leadership of Dimeji Bankole as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
According to Sahara Reporters, Dino and ten others “were suspended… after accusing Speaker Dimeji Bankole of grand theft involving ₦9 billion between 2008 and 2009.” The court eventually quashed their suspension then.
Writing on their reconciliation, Dino wrote on Instagram, while showing off the picture of Dimeji Bankole in a lovely and lively handshake with him at the burial of his late mother over the weekend in Kogi state.
