1. Posthumous Humanitarian Award goes to Nipsey Hussle.

Nipsey Hussle’s Family received his award on his behalf. Nipsey Hussle was the late musician allegedly murdered by one of his close allies on March 31.

“Nipsey is such an important part of our community, in particular the fact that he focused on servicing his community, staying in his community, and trying to uplift the community he was a part of. We really wanted to recognise him here in LA,” BET Networks President Scott M Mills said.

2. The moment Nigeria BurnaBoy was crowned Best International Act and the emotional acceptance speech by his mother.

3. Rihanna paid glowing tribute to Mary J Blige.

Mary J Blige was the first person to make history to have been nominated for an OSCAR in both music and acting categories in the same year. Mary J Blige was crowned with Lifetime Achievement Award at the events.
