Rev. Biodun Fatoyinbo, Global Senior Pastor of COZA, has finally bowed to pressure, thus stepping down as a Senior Pastor in COZA.
In a release on his Instagram page @biodunfatoyinbo, the pastor said he took the decision after wide consultations with church leaders both home and abroad.
In the post with the caption, “my confidence in the lord remains unwavering”, the Fatoyinbo said the step “enables me to submit to the concerns of my spiritual mentors as they consider all the issues that have been raised against me.”
He said though decision was painful but that he believed it was the best decision at the moment.
Furthermore, the action will help to protect and keep the flock of Christ as the allegation could otherwise serve as needless distraction to the service of the flock to God.
According to the statement, Fatoyinbo says although he does not understand what is happening, he is trusting God to “lead and guide him one step at a time.”
He concluded the statement by soliciting for prayers for himself and the congregation of COZA in what he described as “these turbulent times.”
